Go to Administration > Issue Settings > Custom fields
Add a new Enumeration field "Test" with 2 elements
Go to the issue you created in step 1
Click to edit
Try to set one of the elements for "Test"
On edit this is not possible. Meaning no old issues will get the new fields. When you add a new issue the field is visible also on edit.
Is there any way to force this on all old issues?
We have a bunch of issues in the system and want to use a new custom field that needs to be available for every single one... Did we miss something?

New fields by default does not get into old issues as OneDev does not know which value to take, and user may also want to add them to a subset of old issues. So OneDev leaves this task to user. To do it, use batch edit feature (can edit all queries or selected) and specify value of desired fields.
