I figured it out by using Base Query when editing the Board (same place where you'd want to change the Board name).

I know it's possible to exclude child projects from Issues by adding the filter
"Project" is "Parent-Project", but ideally having an option to have this by default, or have an option to add the Saved Queries to the Board view (which is my preferred view). Otherwise, I have to type out my filters each time when I want to see the Board. I.e."Project" is "Parent-Project" and "State" is "Open" and "Assignees" is me.
