#852  Fediverse integration

Hi

The ActivityPub protocol is powering Mastodon and a few other platforms.

It allows them to create, what they call federated instances:

You can setup several instances of a web service, and all those instances can communicate with each other, without creating different accounts.

This can solve the issue of decentral services being often isolated and due to that, unable to compete with huge, centralized services.

Currently, there is an extension to ActivitPub in the making, so that it can support Git services as well.

Thanks.
