Can't add user created via OpenID to new administrator group (OD-539)

I'm migrating authentication from inbuilt to OpenID/OIDC. As part of it, I'm creating a new site administrator group.

When I add an OpenId user to the group , it appears to save, and it refreshing the page shows the same, however, when the OpenID user logs in, they do not have site administrator privileges and it looks like they're no longer part of the site admin group.

If you specify groups claim in OpenID SSO provider, OneDev will respect membership information maintained at OpenID side. This is the reason why your locally assigned groups will be removed after login with OpenID.
