for reference, a recent job i had to make with conditional steps this is what i did right now
I made each conditional step a job itself and made it run via post build action of previous step (i.e. job) with condition on log and i would just echo something unique to check with "Log" contains "that somehtig"
its quite the workaround, so it would be really nice if this feature is added

Currently there is no way to run a step inside a job based on a custom condition
As of right now it only supports condition of always, never or success
There should be an option to able to write a custom expression and go off of that
