Automatic State Transition From PR Description #2792
Joshua Norman opened 3 weeks ago

We are currently experiencing an issue with automatic state transitions on applicable issues "fixed in current pull request". Before (2-4 versions of OneDev ago, can't remember exactly which version it stopped working) we would be able to trigger the automatic transition by typing "resolves ###" in the description of the PR, but now it does not seem to work. The only way I've got it to work was by adding a reference to the issue in the commit message (resolves ###).

This is what our regex looks like:

This issue seems to have been resolved in the past #OD-1194, and I'm wondering if there's a chance that this was rolled back?

N.B:

  • We always make sure the issue is in the "In Progress" state before opening a PR.
  • We always reference the issue with one of the "resolving" keywords specified in the regex immediately on PR creation in the description.
  • The issue does pick up the reference from the pull request, but the state transition does not happen:

I'm not sure if we are perhaps doing something wrong, or if it indeed is a bug. Thanks in advance
