Issue States only for certain projects (OD-2433)

I face the problem that I need for one or two projects much more issue states then for all other projects since there are a lot more quality gades. Is there a way to have certain states only for specific projects? I know that for the transition I can choose "applicable issues" but it would be nice if I can specify before specific states for specific projects.

As you've discovered, it is not supported to specify different states for different projects, however state transition rules can effectively make only a subset of states being useful for certain projects.
