commit_hash variable as build param (OD-2090)

according to the documentation we were trying to use the commit_hash as a build parameter

however, the variable is not getting replaced but inserted as literal.

I was just wondering if that's intended?

Variables are not supported here. All places supporting variables will have description stating that.
