How can I make parent visible to a group, but child projects are visible to different groups (OD-2044)
Jerry Jian opened 1 year ago

Hi, I want to organize projects like this:

My company groups:

Company
    Develop
        Group1
        Group2
        Group3
        Group4
    Testing
    Marketing

Project tree:

RootProject ==> visible to Company, creating child project is not allowed
Project1 ==> visible to Group1 and Group2, creating child project is not allowed
UI ==> visible to Group1, creating child project is allowed
ProjectUI1 ==> visible to the project owner and authorized users
ProjectUI2 ==> visible to the project owner and authorized users
Modules ==> visible to Group2, creating child project is allowed
Module1 ==> visible to the project owner and authorized users
Module2 ==> visible to the project owner and authorized users
Project2 ==> visible to Group3 and Group4, creating child project is allowed
    ...

In other words, the parent projects are only visible in 'Parent Project' box. If I have no child project of some projects, I shouldn't see the them.

How can I achieve this, thanks a lot.

This can not be achieved. The hierarchy strucuture works in the way that if users has some permission over a project project, they will also have this permission over all child projects.
