With 11.0.6 it is now possible to query iteration field by specified value or pattern.
BTW: issue also has built-in iteration setting and is able to accept multiple values.

Thank you very much for your efforts. That is great!!
I'm well aware of the default Iterations field and we are very much using it already, we just needed an indicator reflecting the version an improvement has been introduced first (single value)

Hi Robin,
we introduced a custom field of type "Iteration" for our release purporses which can only hold a single value in comparison to the original "Iterations" field.
At the moment we can only query for "is empty" or is "not empty" and I was wondering if we need to adjust something on our side in order to be able to query for actual values like "4.12.3" from the available Iterations?
Best, e.
