Notifications over REST API (OD-1888)

Is there a way to send notifications over REST API instead of via emails only? Support for REST API would allow to forward notifications to practically any external system which would be very useful.

Thank you. I was sure I saw this a while ago, but then I could not find it anymore. This is because I was looking in global settings rather than project's settings. I think this should be enough for our needs.
