Hope you're doing well. We were wondering if there is a mechanism to enable email reception for certain specific scenarios i.e. when there is a comment on an issue. We do receive emails when a pull request is opened, and I think I remember receiving some emails about comments on issues, but this seems to have stopped lately. Possibly a bug, or something changed?
Thanks.

OneDev does send email notification to all users watching the issue if mail service is configured. However the notification will never been sent to the user who commented the issue.
Users start to watch the issue automatically when they are involved with the issue (open, assigned, commented, mentioned, etc). If you want to watch issues not involved, just subscribe to appropriate query.
If users watching the issue are not receiving email notifications, please check server log to see if there are any errors printed.

Hi Robin,
Thanks for the tips. We did check the server logs and there seems to be some sort of issues with the SSL settings. I asked for support from our current server provider, I'll keep you posted on the answers. Thanks!
