You can edit issue fields directly in issue list by clicking on the issue field:
If your custom field does not show here, click the
fields and linksto include them. -
@robin Good to know, but that's not the same as being able to edit anything about the issue (e.g., the title, adding comments) which you could do with a quick edit button.
Even if a particular field is included, it will not show when set to "empty".
I would find such a small button (like in the Boards) a lot more useful than the "Copy to clipboard" button that I can simply right-click / Copy-link on the text right before instead.

It would be nice to see the
...quick issue editor in List View so that we don't need to open the issue in a new window to edit only that single issue.
