I have only tested this with
thunderbird
onArch Linux
. I am aware when formatting a message to be sent thunderbird inserts line breaks when composing the email, but looking at the email sent/received it seems this is only formatted during composition and not during transit, and even then this does not explain why the first line of the comment is very long and then all the others are shorter.
