Configure default merge strategy for pull requests (OD-1079)

Is there a way to configure the default merge strategy for pull requests? Currently it is always "Create Merge Commit" but I would like to make "Squash Source Branch Commits" the default to make the git history of the main branch cleaner.

There is no such setting currently. Will get this addressed in future releases.
