#808 Custom field "text" can not be searched with "contains"

I have created a custom field of type text and I can not search issues using contains query.

For example if I add abc as custom field value for a single issue then the result is empty if I do "myfield" contains "abc" but I get a result when I do "myfield" is "abc".

So it seems like contains does not work.
